Perception is the recognition and the comprehension of our environment, which is detected by our senses. Imagine it as thousands of slugs leeching out of your brain, wrapping themselves entirely around the objects, sounds, smells, etc. that surround you, engulfing them. Once these forms are over taken, the "objects" are identified by the brain. But, our human bodies do not have the mechanics to perceive everything that is actually going on around us; our perception is not perfect. Im-Perception demonstrates the possibility that there may be very grand things sitting right next to us, but they do not exist to us because we cannot perceive them.
